Bus Pirate v4 rev 2 hello world
The second Bus Pirate v4 prototype passed the self test today. This update fixes a few minor issues in pin connections, and it’s the first prototype with the PIC 24FJ256GB106 that will be used in the final hardware. Follow our progress in the BPv4 firmware development forum.

Bus Pirate firmware v5.9 now compiles for hardware v4. All major new features are supported, even if they don’t work on the first prototype hardware version (shown above). This development is a major step forward, but it’s still going to be a long time before the v4 hardware is ready for general use.

Bus Pirate v1a: End of support
Each Bus Pirate upgrade package includes firmware for Bus Pirate v3/v2go and the older v1a hardware. If nobody uses the v1a firmware, it doesn’t make sense for us to keep releasing it. This is the second call for any v1a users to make themselves known. If nobody needs the firmware we’ll stop building it.
