Bus Pirate firmware v5.9 now compiles for hardware v4. All major new features are supported, even if they don’t work on the first prototype hardware version (shown above).
This development is a major step forward, but it’s still going to be a long time before the v4 hardware is ready for general use.
i know this is early but whats the ETA on final(public) hardware release?
The new pcb’s will be arriving the next weeks, after arriving we’ll hand-built and test some prototypes. After that a small (assembled) batch will be send to some key developers, who will be further beta test them and develop hard- and software around it … .. ..
To shorten a long story: prolly the beginning of next year (if everything will go smoothly!!). Perhaps some PCBs will be provided on prototype sunday.
