We added the TXB0108 dual supply 8-bit bidirectional voltage level translator (TSSOP-20 package) to our library. As the title suggests it translates 8 channels between two voltage levels. There is no direction control. All the pins are bi-directional at all times, and the directions of each pin are independent of one another.

Ealge Parts: Combined surface mount and through-hole DIP socket
We wanted to make a footprint for a combined surface mount and through hole DIP socket. It’s a through hole socket with bent leads so it could be soldered in a surface mount process. This will be used in a secret project which will revealed next week in China.

Eagle Parts: TPS6120x DC/DC converter and KSZ8851SN Ethernet controller in a QFN packages
Today we added two relatively hard-to-solder parts to our library. Both come in QFN lead-less packages. First is the Texas Instrument’s TPS6120x DC/DC converter (pictured above) with an integrated switch. The second is the Micrel KSZ8851SN embedded Ethernet controller (pictured below).
