MMA7455L accelerometer free PCB build
Tayken built a free MMA7455L accelerometer breakout board. The MMA7455L is a 3-axis accelerometer with I2C and SPI interfaces. As I finally had my accelerometer, I’ve decided to solder it up using electric skillet method. I thought I had the required tantalum caps so I didn’t order but it turns out I have a different […]
Microchip TQFP-100 breakout board tested
We recently received our Microchip TQFP-100 breakout boards. We tested them with PIC24F and dsPIC33 chips and a “Blink LED” demo firmware. Both chips worked fine. These boards are intended to be breakouts for all Microchip devices that come in TQFP-100 packages (0.4mm pitch, designation PT). These include the PIC24, dsPIC33, and PIC32 families of […]
Bus Pirate v4 LCD adapter free PCB build
BrentBXR posted a picture of his free Bus Pirate v4 LCD adapter PCB build. The LCD adapter lets you test HD44780 comparable LCDs without any extra parts. If you build a free PCB we’ll send you another one! Blog about it, post a picture on Flicker, whatever – we’ll send you a coupon code for the […]
Atmega8 based thermometer build
Andrianakis Haris writes: This is a thermometer I designed for my room, built in a small pack and easy to control. Some basic components used: Atmega8, LM35 for inside temp sensing and DHT-11 for outside temp & humidity sensing. The hardware is designed on a way so that the PCB can be wall mounted. At […]
Infrared thermopile sensor TMP006 breakout free PCB build
Pietja posted pictures of his free Infrared thermopile sensor TMP006 breakout board build. This is a non-contact temperature sensor from TI, we looked at the dev board previously. Unlike us, Pietja successfully soldered both boards. If you build a free PCB we’ll send you another one! Blog about it, post a picture on Flicker, whatever […]
AVR transistor tester build
Alan Garfield at fromorbit writes: Hey guys, I built up that AVR Transistor Tester that’s been bouncing around on your site for a few weeks. Thought you might like to see it. I’ve done this short video showing it in operation and also written up a few of the misadventures I had while building it. […]
xQFP protoboard free PCB build
Juan used his free 0.50mm Dangerous xQFP protoboard to get started with a MSP430F5510. The protoboard is designed to get you up and running with a new surface mount microcontroller. We’re super proud of this board, it’s something we use all the time to develop our own projects. Currently available in 0.50mm, 0.65mm, and 0.80mm for […]
