Today we added the ATX breakout board v1.1, and an earlier draft to the free PCB drawer. We ordered a second batch of the ATX board, thanks for making it a success. A DigiKey order with some CPLDs is stuck in UPS, we’re trying to figure out how to dislodge it.

We continued to search for DP part kit suppliers. We made a template letter to speed up our request process.
We modeled, and rendered the ATX Breakout Board v1.1 for today’s post. We also continued working on the secret project firmware. It’s in it’s final stages now, so lots of debugging is on the menu.
Over the weekend we played around with the idea of using the PIC18F2550 breakout board to build a HD44780 emulator. The concept is for the PIC to emulate every aspect of a HD44780, including reading the busy flag, and reading RAM data from it. While a PC app would receive information from the PIC over USB, and act as a display.
