What are you hacking this week?

What is needed is a open source device that can do SSL like things without an OS or a ton of memory. TCP/IP to serial is already on the market in a variety of flavors.
Quote: “Is there any interest a small open source web server module with TCPIP to serial, etc?” Sounds interesting – working on Linux and Windows Clients?
I was thinking something like an open source XPORT:
http://www.lantronix.com/device-networking/embedded-device-servers/xport.html
obviously bigger and not integrated, but same basic TCPIP to serial functionality.
I have an XPort in my toybox somewhere. I will see if I can find.
Here’s what we really need, an embedded Web Server with SSL/TLS support and SSH/SCP login; and no I don’t mean a small Linux/xBSD box. Good luck with that one…
I Ordered one-each of the CPLD boards, they should arrive in the next day or two. Sheesh, it is takes just as long to download the boated Xilinx development software as it does to ship the CPLD boards from Hong Kong! Anyway, that’s what I’m hacking this week.
