Week in (p)review: April 01, 2011

Don’t forget to share your current project in the comments or the forum. This week our favorite project gets a free QFP protoboard.

Here’s a summary of major developments over the last week:

April already?

  • We’ve got our fingers crossed for Bus Blaster v2
  • It’s time for a part order, PCBs will go out too
  • Is there any interest a small open source web server module with TCPIP to serial, etc?
  • App notes and datasheets all weekend
  • Free PCB Sunday
  • Status update on Monday
  • New tool post on Thursday

What are you hacking this week?

  1. What is needed is a open source device that can do SSL like things without an OS or a ton of memory. TCP/IP to serial is already on the market in a variety of flavors.

  2. Quote: “Is there any interest a small open source web server module with TCPIP to serial, etc?” Sounds interesting – working on Linux and Windows Clients?

  3. Here’s what we really need, an embedded Web Server with SSL/TLS support and SSH/SCP login; and no I don’t mean a small Linux/xBSD box. Good luck with that one…

I Ordered one-each of the CPLD boards, they should arrive in the next day or two. Sheesh, it is takes just as long to download the boated Xilinx development software as it does to ship the CPLD boards from Hong Kong! Anyway, that’s what I’m hacking this week.
