When I see a Bus Blaster on some random site like this: goodluckbuy.com/high-speed-jtag-debugger-bus-blaster-v4-module.html (or on dx.com) – is this sold by Ian or is the site some kind of distributor or is it a rip-off/cloned Bus Blaster ?

Not really the ideal place to ask this question, the forum is better suited for that sort of thing, but no, I don’t believe they are sold by Ian, they are just rip-offs *as far as I know*, so best bet is to buy from Seeed Studios if you appreciate the work Ian puts in to all these things.
