    He should provide more specs about that cylinder – if we assume that cylinder is 6cm diameter then we get roughly 14.1ccm volume per 5mm stroke (that’s what he could achieve). Now that does sound impressive until you realize that for a 1.5 cm diameter the same 14.1ccm translates to 8cm of stroke. Though sticktion would make it more of a problem for smaller diam. cylinders so it’s going to get worse.

    It might be a better idea to investigate Hall effect sensors instead. Try ss495b

    3″ diameter. sticktivity is an issue, but I still got a few trick up my sleeve.
