Wiki says, “CMOS EEPROM and is reprogrammable about 100 times”.
100 times – really?
According to the datasheet, yeah. I was surprised too.
Wow, that’s a bummer. It takes me 100 time just to get a LED to blink. Someone ought to write a script to program these things over and over to see just how long they’ll go.
Based on our experience burning out an EEPROM with the Flash Destroyer, I’d guess more than 10x the rated life at normal room temperatures.
It also concerns me in terms of selling a breakout board. We’re making one up, but it probably won’t become a product.
