We’re all familiar with CPLD and FPGA. Now Tabula, Inc., has debuted their line of 3PLD chips. Known as the ABAX product family and presently targeted primarily at communications equipment vendors, the chips are said to employ an innovative architecture called Spacetime that enables the devices to achieve superior density and capability for logic, memory, and signal processing.

I think we all have a tool, gadget, device whatever that we all really want but either cant justify buying it, afford it, or out of reach for what ever reason. It would be interesting to know what peoples chosen idol device is?
For me i’ve always wanted a RamCheck, but I don’t fix enough PC’s anymore to justify that.

I’d love to get more excited about 3cpld technology, if I could find enough information about it to know what’s so innovative and special about it. Die-shrink by layering?
Ok, I get it, partly. Dynamically reconfigurable computing is pretty cool in concept, but I’m still going to need to find more information.
