  1. I’m trying out DirtyPCBs for the first time with two orders. I picked UPS Saver for both. In the shipping email it says, “If you used DHL/FEDEX/UPS a tracking number will be sent from 4 to 24 hours later.” That was 3 days ago, and no tracking number has been sent or is visible when I check status on the website.

Has anyone else who selected UPS received tracking numbers? How soon after the shipping status email did they arrive?

    1. Hey Guan,

Nice to hear from you! How are things in NY?

I’m sorry about the problem, thanks for the report. When I hooked into the logistics company API we only did DHL. I have not completely tested UPS as we just added it a week or two ago. Let me check it out manually and see whats up. I don’t have enough experience to tell you what’s normal. However I can say that we hand it to logistics, and depending on the day, they batch it up and drive it to Hong Kong or elsewhere in China and it loads UPS planes there. Shortly after that the tracking number is available through the API. We run a CRON job on the server that checks once per hour for changes in tracking info, and emails you when its available. It is normal for it not to be available for a while, but three days seems a little long. Also: we do encounter frequent problems with the logistics API being a bit flaky.

Tomorrow morning China Time I will check it out, and we can also call logistics to see whats up.
