An application note from Microchip: Precision RTD instrumentation for temperature sensing (PDF!)
Precision RTD (Resistive Temperature Detector) instrumentation is key for high performance thermal management applications. This application note shows how to use a high resolution Delta-Sigma Analog-to-Digital converter, and two resistors to measure RTD resistance ratiometrically. A ±0.1°C accuracy and ±0.01°C measurement resolution can be achieved across the RTD temperature range of -200°C to +800°C with a single point calibration.

Tried to open the pdf on the microchip website and got :File not found.” ?
fixed, thanks.
Link that worked:

Seems to be a dead link on the page, the above works for me!
I also got a “file not found”, so the problem is definitely not with us users.
Also, you can’t say “Hey fella, your web site is screwed up!” without going through the hassle of registering with Microchip first. That leaves one with the impression that Microchip really does not want to hear that they have goofed up. Too bad, Allowing people to alert you to the fact that you have messed up is how you eventually make products which are free of being messed up! I think that I’d rather do business with folks who are a little less arrogant than Microchip..
From Microchip’s own contact page, reachable from their main nav bar:
webcorrections@microchip.com
No arrogance there on Microchip’s part. Registrations are a reality of running a large company with a finite number of staff members anyway, for a few reasons. That being said they still provide a raw email address to contact them.
A lot of large companies don’t do that, you have to go through clunky ticket systems. I would suggest you try a little harder yourself before you get too mad at others. ;-)
