  1. So, does it pull the tape forward to expose new parts by pulling back on the plastic film? Or is there some sort of gear situation under the tape?

    1. last weeks video shows the P&P head pulling the tape and there is a motor to take up the slack on the cover.

  2. Looks like a cumbersome process :( prolly faster then handsoldering a medium populated pcb :)

Any luck on the large part holder near the controls?

  3. I don’t know if this suggestion will work: get some double-sided tape like carpet tape. Save some old paper reel material after parts are removed. Tape old paper tape to the ass end of short reel which still has parts and Bob will be your uncle bob. Must be easer than messing with floss.

    1. Ok I got that a little backward, I meant tape not tie an extension to the front of the plastic cover that gets pulled back, you probably know what I meant anyway.

  4. Hello,

We are considering getting the TM240A and would like to know what you think of your machine? Do you have any comments about it now that you have been using it for a while? The placement did not seem that good from the pictures, but we could not tell. Also – have you placed any 100+ pin QFP’s on the board?

Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!

    Regards
