Emirates upgraded us to business class on the second floor of the A380, it was sweet! Lay flat bed, and a well stocked bar in the back of the plane. Although the baggage reclaim was a pain as the A380 just carries too many people.
We modeled and rendered the FT230X Breakout Board. This proved to be a good idea as we caught some errors that creeped into the design. They’ll be fixed and a redesign will be sent to Seeed for more prototypes.
I never understand how that kind of upgrades works, did you ask for an upgrade or they just said your seats had been upgraded!? lol
This time we were printed new tickets at the gate when getting in the holding corrall.
Why is another thing. They said it was because were skywards members. I did enroll before leaving and then got skywards points at several 5 star hotels in India.that is part of it but I suspect it was in conjunction with overbooking and members were bumped to business first. Or maybe emirates is the last super great airline that actually does nice things for awards card holders:)
Business was only 25% full and everyone else in our section had also been upgraded. There was no way to go down to steerage so I have no idea how full the flight actually was. It did feel swank chatting up the attendants and either passengers around the bar while the suckers below suffered :) usually that sucker is me :D
