Workshop Update for June 27th, 2012

Today we cleaned up the workshop for tomorrow’s video, we checked some bug fixes on the Bus Pirate firmware (look for a new release soon), and started a Mouser order to be placed tomorrow.

We also went over our partlist, and started gathering information on how much a basic kit of our most commonly used parts would cost.

We weren’t happy with the menu system in place on the secret project (pictured above). It had a lot of switch and if statements which were getting tangled between each other. So we completely overhauled it to use linked lists, and pointers to functions instead.

  1. Hi, linked list link is broken ;)
BTW I really like this way to handle menu and sequential choices, it matches how a menu actually works.

  2. Tomorrow I’ll enter the hospital for two weeks :( I’m trying to get a friend to keep me entered into the free pcb lotteries during that time though… On the other hand, by the time I’m back the “parts kit” and secret project might have been released… I’m x-ing my fingers…

Not sure if it’s the iOS6 beta but if you use the mobile version of the comment function it doesn’t remember your email but only your name. The full version works fine though. Does (did) anyone else notice this?

    1. Using iOS 5.1.1 and it remembers both name and email. Best wishes for a quick and uneventful recovery.
