Bay Area Maker Fair 2012: Dangerous Prototypes is the recipient of an Editor’s Choice booth award!

Posted on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 in conferences, Maker Faire by DP

The Dangerous Prototypes booth is a 2012 Editor’s Choice recipient! Congratulations to Skot who is almost certainly responsible for this with his blingy Digit Grid. After we show off the ribbon in a workshop video we’ll sent it to Skot.

This is our third year sharing or winning the Editor’s Choice award. It’s not quite clear what it means, for all we know everybody gets one. Either way, we’re just jazzed to be here.

  • KH: Really? They are digital inputs driven by an MCU. The MCU GPIO probably has diode clamps and ESD protection. Have you experienced such failures? Please...
  • KH: Neither. Google "Marco Schweighauser’s 8-bit virtual Javascript CPU" and see the first result. Sounds more like a very limited feature toy CPU.
  • Alan: "8-bit x86 like CPU" - isn't that an 8080, or Z80?
  • Geoff: Is it still Sunday somewhere? If so, yes please.
