the whole idea that a SOIC package will make the bus pirate easier to assemble for beginners doesnt say anything about the 0.5mm(or is it 0.635mm? I dont recall clearly) pin pitch on the FT232.
Better only one than two of them I guess :)

I posted a link on FB… Also THANK YOU IAN for the free boards! I’ve already ordered 2 more and I’d order the parts but they don’t have parts lists yet.
To be honest, I never thought I’d actually get the 2 boards working. I really expected to damage the board or something. Imagine my surprise when I was able to load a bootloader. Or even when it passed selftest (After some troubleshooting and resoldering a VR)
I’m soooo happy!
