The 8bit PIC SchmartBoard is a development board that supports many of Microchip’s 8bit microcontrollers in SOIC packages. It has a on-board crystal, 5v voltage regulator and 28 breakout pins for the PIC. It also sports a reset button, ICSP programing header, and a power LED.

SchmartBOARD are easy to solder and it makes it almost imposible to get a solder bridge. I use them to solder ICs in QFN package that would be imposible for me otherwise.
