And again you see the problems in the EU… Banning in one place, giving in another… Thats politics.
I remember in the 1980s thousands of people from the Netherlands got their Commodore 64 from Germany through gray import. I think this is the time where we can do something back to thank them :-)
As if the product’s look was the only criterion. I’d never buy Apple products, and this story even confirms my opinion. Apple products look great, ok, but are artificially limited and limit your personal freedom to do what you want with your stuff. Everything has to go through iTunes, iPhones have no memory card slots, the iPad has no USB.
No USB on iPad is clearly a shame !
You can not :
– connect your téléphone to your ipad to exachange data or charge it
– connect a digital camera to see your photos thru it
– put the SD card (or microSD) of a digital camera to see the photos thru it
– plug a regular keyboard on your way if you need it so (you will need to buy a bluetooth keyboard and bring it along with its power adapterto recharge it)
– plug whatever USB key you need to exchange data
– plug to any HDMI TV
Obviously you can :
– buy a USB adapter
– buy a SD adapter
– buy a HDMI adapter
– buy a big case to bring all that stuff with you
At the end, I think that iPad is a great … joke !
What was acceptable for a phone (a phone is a phone you know) is no more acceptable for a tablet = little connectivity with outside “world”.
Apple knows people are turning to Android tablet (price + feature helps) and they don’t want the highend geeks to leave pie-home. The solution : sue them all !
