Week in (p)review: March 18, 2011

Don’t forget to share your current project in the comments or the forum. This week our favorite project gets a free QFP protoboard.

Here’s a summary of major developments over the last week:

Next week will be busy:

  • CPLD breakouts will be available first thing, videos still need to be made
  • Bus Blaster v2, Nokia LCD backpack, and IR Toy v2 are also about assembled. We’re furiously documenting things on the wiki

We’re going to try a publishing schedule. No promises:

  • Sunday: Free PCBs
  • Monday: Project status updates
  • Tuesday: Firmware releases
  • Wednesday: Forum roundup
  • Thursday: Tools
  • Friday: Week in review
  • Saturday: Weekend app notes

What are you hacking this week?

  1. Very interested in the upcoming CPLD breakout board. To get started I downloaded the Xilinx ISE tool, a 4 GB file, and it says it requires another 11 GB on the drive to install… this is the largest tool I’ve encountered yet.
