On a side note, a friend of mine is working on a really nifty serial to vga adapter that we hope to be posting to Hackaday soon. The OctaPentaVga. A vga adapter based on attiny85 chips giving either monochrome (single chip) or 8 color (3 chip) vga video with a 9600 baud serial port for input.
