I don’t understand why the P-FET in the photo is connected backwards. When the FET is turned off won’t current flow through the body diode? I think there’s a mistake in the schematic. In the application note the next image of the spice model for the circuit shows the FET connected correctly.
it’s an appnote, I think it is fair to say quite a few of them should be be taken with grain of salt
