I once had both a VT100 and a VT220 at home, but I throwed them away many wears ago when I moved from one city to another. I’m still angry at myself for doing that….. Never discard any cool tech! Some day you’ll want it again.
I don’t have a VT100. Not many people do. If you hacked an LCD monitor to drive a Beaglebone, threw in a USB keyboard, I’d be interested.
Throw in an RS-232 +/- 12V compatible interface board, and you’d have a winner. Heck, you could probably fit all that in an old laptop case.
The new BeagleBone black has an HDMI port, so connecting it to an LCD is pretty simple. I believe there was an LVDS adapter as well, if you’d prefer to drive the LCD directly.
