Today we mostly worked on preparing the Bangalore video ahead of time. We managed to assemble mountains of video clips into a first cut by the end of the day. Loads of sound syncing and touch-up left for tomorrow. This one was epic with over 1000 shots and 100 audio tracks.
At the same time we’re contacting factories and parts suppliers in Shenzhen, China. We hope to bring you a first hand experience of getting your designs made in a week through Shenzhen’s easy access to manufacturers and parts suppliers.

I saw the video about video editing a few days ago. Just yesterday I discovered openshot a open source video editing tool. I played a bit around with it and it seems to do a good job. I can’t compare it to Adobes software. From your screenshots it looks like Adobe is still more featurefull, esp. in the audio department.
What I liked on openshot. Titles are generated as SVG files and if you really want to go fancy you can use whatever software is available to create SVG files. Inkscape for example is scriptable and you might be able to create many stuff just by running a few homemade scripts. Beside of that SVG is an open XML-based format. A script to make a starting title which includes the current date as well as e.g. a season and episode number is relatively easy.
During your evaluation did you gave openshot a try?
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll load it up on one of our boxes and give it a try. I really hate the manual title making in Premier.
