Kelvin writes to inform us about this DE0 Nano Giveaway. Terasic is running a contest from now through May 12, 2011, to select three winnners of a DE0 Nano FPGA board from all entrants who answer the question, “What would you do with a DE0 Nano?” So go to the Terasic site and post your answer there.
The DE0-Nano board introduces a compact-sized FPGA development platform suited for prototyping circuit designs such as robots and “portable” projects. The board is designed to be used in the simplest possible implementation targeting the Cyclone IV device up to 22,320 LEs.
Via the contact form.

I want to make a small robot, that it moves with artificial vision and see what he see in a LCD
I want a quadrocopter with vga camera vision system for targetting (id and follow target, shoot target with nerf gun etc)
I’d learn everything I could about using FPGA devices and make something happen. Not a single one in my arsenal of toys.
You should be submitting these plans on Terasic’s page, not this one.
Interesting tactic to generate free advertising using social media. Actually I would most likely buy this board and not bother with the giveaway….. if S&H wasn’t $48… anyone know a nice alternative spec/price wise?
Yeah, I realized that right away. Posting on DangerousPrototypes to get freebies has become a bad habit.
I won one! Wheeeeeee!
Time to make my robot army.
