The CT-UNO combines the simplicity of the UNO’s Optiboot bootloader (which load program faster), the stability of the FTDI and the R3 shield compatibility of the latest Arduino UNO R3. Besides, we know many are using Android phone which comes with USB micro-B cable (power bank also require micro-B to charge), therefore, to lower down the cost needed for customer to get started, we populate the USB micro-B socket for USB connection! Program can be loaded from Arduino UNO by utilizing your Android phone USB cable. Select “Arduino UNO” from the board and choose the correct COM port, you are ready to upload the code.
CT-UNO has all the amazing features Arduino UNO offer. 14 Digital I/O pins with 6 PWM pins, 6 Analog inputs, UART, SPI, external interrupts, not to forget the I2C too.

With the latest #ftdigate events, how do one know if this ftdi chip is guaranteed to be authentic?
I have difficulties to understand the point of making “just another arduino clone” with almost no additional features. What makes the difference and can it stand against Chinese Pop-Mom-shops?
Really nice would be a board with a RTC DS3231, some AT24Cxx storage, a mini SD-card adapter and a ESP8266 socket. All routed with solder bridges for easy disconnection and a throu hole to reconnect with wires. Space is more than enough…
Well, everyone’s falling over themselves making one. In this case they are trying to grab some Malaysian market share. I’m sure there are many education contracts around, even if it’s easy for individuals to source from Shenzhen.
This looks like it’s sized as a teaching board, not something with extra hobbyist features. If one can upload via one’s phone, I wonder if devs can really develop without a PC or laptop with a keyboard…
Everyone’s just gotta check the specs first. It’s all the big mess, everyone has a spiffy brand name. Even the originators are not above exploiting the brand name, remember the deal with Intel? I wonder how many actually got sold…
