Setup at Make Tokyo Meeting 07 #mtm07

Posted on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 in conferences, Maker Faire by Ian

Usually we like to give an inside look at the Maker Faire the night before it opens, but setup was in the morning before it started so there wasn’t an opportunity.

More photos below the fold.

We were guests of Tokyo hackerspace, a big thanks to Tayken for making the arrangements.

Tokyo hackerspace scored an extra large space because they setup a public soldering area. Anyone could solder a kit they bought at the fair.

Unlike the US Maker Faires, participants didn’t need a waiver and special bracelet to go near the hot pointy things. Maybe next year.

With a bit of wifi available, we setup the Thermal Tweeter on day 1.

…also, first rule of Maker Faire is to remember your table cloth. Don’t assume they’ll have one, or that it’ll be a cinch to pick up the right size your first day in Tokyo.
