
This is a fun hack on arhi’s DIY HAKKO (and SOLOMON) soldering pencil driver:
240 gain requires 24K resistors there, not really available easy … I soldered 22k + 1k + 1k (look at picture attached, it is 2×1206+0804 on top :D it works but .. )

One time I had to solder a mirrored component (actually mirrored: not on the bottom side, just mirrored on the top! A little layout mistake :P) on a board, if tomorrow i’ll find it in the lab I’ll post a picture here ;)

Hey, if it works for the interim then it should be good. I’ve had to do similar tricks too. It reminds me of the older dead bug sodlering from a few years ago.

As a joke, someone needs to create a circuit board layout that has the full compliment, including the downed parts.
Bonus points if you make it some sort of RF mixer or antenna.

I hade to piggy back 5SMD resistors once! 5 x 100KOhm to get a 20K hihihi
It will pick up more noise like this. Better to leave it flat on the board.
