Cool document to read! I wonder if they allow these kinds of soldering on Shuttle components or in satellites?
Sorry but I fail to see any dead bug there. The one which could be considered as bug is levitating in the air, not mounted on the board. Besides that it looks like everything is (almost) shorted :)
That was my assumption too, this didn’t start out as a post about dead bug. After reading the various sites on the topic I changed my (personal) definition to include this type of circuit :) I’m always open to being wrong though :)
Problem with this sort of crap is the harmonics, you end up spamming all over the FM band, add an arial change the transistor and you can easily hit 15 miles of spam radius.
