The Seeeduino Film we covered earlier is now available. Film is a flexible development board that includes an Atmega168 with the Arduino bootloader. For portable or wearable applications, it has an on-board li-poly battery charger.
Albert has been working hard to get this design right, congraduations on the first batch! Maybe when this is perfected we can make a Bus Pirate film.

Interesting. Back in the early 80’s I worked for Texas Instruments in the Poloroid division. We made all of the electronics for the Poloroid cameras. The cameras used a flex circuit that had all of the SMD components attached. The flex was like a octopus with “legs” going to different parts of the camera like the sensors, switches, motors, etc. The “flex” used tin plated copper on mylar. We built a production line in Taiwan to assemble the “flex”. There were at least two different versions for the different cameras. The process was “wicked” and required special tooling and automation. I designed and programmed the automation. Out of that came the first SOIC’s at TI and I think the industry.
