Read about the firmware update process for the ds30 Loader GUI (Windows/Linux) and pirate-loader console app (Windows/Linux/Mac). This firmware requires the v4+ bootloader, be sure you upgrade to the v4 bootloader first if you still have bootloader v2.

Upgrade gives me an error – “Nothing to do”.
I am currently at
Firmware v5.0 Bootloader v4.3
I first tried updating the bootloader then also the firmware but get the same error for both. I select the hex file, the window shows “Hex-file successfully parsed”, then press Download and get the message.
I was able to solve this by re-downloading the ds30 loader and firmware and ran it from “My Documents/downloads” folder then it worked.
