Just thought I would throw in some helpful advice for others here as well:
I was trying to use picprog v0.1 to flash the bootloader to the PIC from another buspirate. Apparantly that version had issues, and I should have been using v0.2, which worked first time.
This was also my first time working with TSSOP packages, and because of that, I ended up ripping a pad up somehow. I’ll know for next time to either use a stencil to make sure I am using the right amount of solder paste when reflowing, or to hand solder.
Someday I’ll get around to building mine….
