Great video I’m kind of relieved I was not the only one who had to try several times to get the hang of it :P
I really hate when all those videos show how easy it is to solder in a few seconds but when you try it is really not that easy and/or you actually need to take into account several things like air speed, temperature and all sort that stuff.
Now I’m sad I could not attend the soldering lessons on the hacker camp :)
Doesn’t seem like this is the appropriate tool for this job. For desoldering I guess it works well but for soldering it looks very complicated (parts might fly away, you can get easily burned while trying to keep parts in place, etc.)
Disclaimer: I have never used a hot air rework station; I comment only based on why I saw in the video.
