
The GNU Radio project has announced their participation in the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2013 as an independent organization. GNU Radio is a free library for developing Software Defined Radio applications and is written mainly in C++ and Python. Its used by various SDR hardware including the USRP family, Funcube and RTL-SDR dongles.
