Reuters is reporting the sudden and untimely death of New Zealand-born hacker Barnaby Jack. Barnaby was scheduled to appear at this week’s BlackHat conference in Las Vegas, NV, with a presentation entitled Implantable Medical Devices: Hacking Humans.
His body was reportedly found at an apartment in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood, according to a police spokesman, who would not say what caused Jack’s death but said police had ruled out foul play.
His most notable presentation (depicted in the above video) was at BlackHat in 2010, entitled Jackpotting Automatic Teller Machines.
Barnaby Jack was 35.

1) Tron (Boris Floricic) – A German Hacker, that hacked card phone booths and a created a encrypted ISDN phone. Floricic disappeared on 17 October 1998 and was found dead in a local park in Britz in the Neukölln district of Berlin on 22 October after being hanged from a waistbelt wrapped around his neck.
2)Hagbard Celine (Karl Werner Lothar Koch) He was involved in selling hacked information from US military computers to the KGB. Koch left his workplace in his car to go for lunch, he had not returned by late afternoon and so his employer reported him as a missing person. Meanwhile, German Police were alerted of an abandoned car in a forest near Celle. When they went to investigate they found an abandoned car, that looked like it had been there for years as it was covered in dust. Near to the car they found a burned corpse (Koch). His shoes were missing and have never been found. There was a patch of burned ground around him, which although it had not rained in some time and the grass was perfectly dry, was controlled in a small circle around the corpse. It is thought to be highly unlikely that this type of controlled burning could have been achieved my Koch himself which leads many to believe that his death was not suicide.
