What do you use for editing/fast forward?
I’m using an awful program called AVS. It was cheap and actually loaded the AVCHD video from my digital video camera (unlike my 10 year old copy of Adobe Premier). AVS is terrible. Only a single video timeline, maximum 12x speed up, no easy way to separate audio and video, no easy way to scan the video and make clips. And it’s crashy. However, the demo worked and it was only $20, so I’ve been using it. There is something else out there (from sony?) that is supposed to be pretty good and around $100. I’m also going to try the stripped-down adobe premier elements (the real deal is $500, and needs 64bit OS).
This is why I don’t make a lot of video :-) I asked because I am thinking of making a series of videos on basic semiconductor physics stuff. I am sure there are many non-formally trained persons who might like to know more about how it all works inside the lump of epoxy.
I’m testing Premier Elements now, seems like more than enough for what I’m doing, and a ton better than AVS.
I might give that a whirl. I don’t feel like being frustrated over that sort of thing. I have CS4 but it is flavor with Premier. I can probably get it cheaply through my university though.
