My friend got one even though he applied for it at a later date than me. I am still waiting for one :(
I use it for CoLinkEx debugger for STM32 projects.

Yup, got one. Haven’t had time to use it too much yet, looks like a nice board though. A bit more powerful than the usual *duinos… nice.

Got one. I wasn’t able to install the code_red IDE yet (I’m on Archlinux, they say you can install it on Ubuntu). I’ll search a bit more this night and if I can’t solve it I will restart on Windows (but that would be sad :p)
I got an e-mail that i should receive it, but haven’t received it yet. I e-mailed them asking if i should have received it yet, but no response. I got my original e-mail feb 7th. Hopefully i’ll still receive it.
I too e-mailed them, but got nothing but an empty echo. It just got me thinking, how reliable is their support? Once we need them real badly will they also ignore to respond?

How do you do that?I read that the lpclink was restricted to CodeRed suite and lpc cortex chips. The nxp forums say that lpclink is undisclosed.

I got mine. Then I got another email saying “fill out a survey and we’ll send you a board!” followed by a “your board is on the way!” So I’m pretty sure I’m getting a second in a week or two.
I also got the email about the survey, I think NXP was alarmed at the negative reaction from the community due to some gross misunderstanding and misrepresentation about their intentions, even though their intentions are good. (Hack a Day made them look like demons by misinforming their readers about the rules of the give-away)
I purchased a mbed using some SparkFun prize money. NXP is now on my list of brands to not hate.
I wasn’t sure what you were talking about until I dug up HAD’s post. I’d seen it when it was fresh, but I just looked at the comments. Kind of a bummer everyone who comments on HAD posts is so polar. You never see any “eh, I’ll pass” comments, only “HOLY CRAP THE WORLD IS GOING TO END NOW” or “THIS IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!”
I agree, people definitely misunderstood their intentions. For one, clearly the point is to get product design engineers playing with their parts in hopes of gaining market share. If this were a play at hobbyests, they’d have just made the boards cheap, like the TI Launchpads.
But more to the point, there was no REQUIREMENT that you destroy anything, only a request that you creatively show how you WOULD. I pretended to majorly-reverse-supply my arduino, but cut to black right before the switch flip, and that was plenty.
I thought it was a pretty well done contest. Some funny videos too.
I got the email stating that I was due to receive one, for now I am still waiting. We’ve had a couple of thefts of packages in the neighbourhood though, so I am wondering if maybe it was stolen …
I believe they ship them with UPS so it shouldn’t be stolen. I am still waiting patiently for mine.. no rush as I have lots of other things to do anyway. I have already bought a bunch of LPC1xxx devices for further development.
Got one, too. Arrived via UPS about two weeks ago… Nice board, but: The software is completely unusable with Linux (tried openSUSE 11.3 and 11.4 on both x86 and x86_64) and the board can’t be used with other software ;(
i got mine last week.
it works like charm. debugging is very fast and easy compared to my pickit3.
