Free PCB Sunday: Web platform v1.1

We go through a lot of prototype PCBs, and end up with lots of extras that we’ll never use. Every Sunday we give away a few PCBs from one of our past or future projects, or a related prototype. Our PCBs are made through Seeed Studio’s Fusion board service.

This week we’re giving away two PCBs for the new web platform v1.1. The original web platform was updated with mounting holes, extra IO, and optional USB power supply. Just ask for a free PCB in the comments.

Get an assembled web platform for $40, including worldwide shipping. Web platform v1.1 is in stock and shipping now.

Some stuff:

  • Yes, we’ll mail it anywhere in the world!
  • Be sure to use a real e-mail in the address field so we can contact you for shipping info.
  • First come, first serve. If we can’t contact the first commenters we move down the list, so you could consider making a request even if it looks like all the PCBs are gone.
  • Limit one PCB per address per month please.
  • Like everything else on this site, PCBs are offered without warranty.

We try to stagger free PCB Sunday posts so every time zone has a chance to participate, but the best way to see the post first is to subscribe to the RSS feed.

  1. Thanks but no thanks…

Well I assume I’m too bloody late so may as well hide my heartbreak and total dispondancy with life in missing out again even though this is my first try…

Guess I will have to do with last night’s lotto result.

    Yeah, didn’t win that either…

  2. Please send me two … I bought several of the last batch of assembled boards and the first thing I noticed was no mounting holes to secure the board inside some kind of enclosure – and great to bring out the extra I/O.

I would love to see a more fully developed web page (code) for the board that lets you get to most of the I/O, maybe set some timers (or control outputs according to a time schedule), and maybe read analog values (like temp/humidty) from the inputs, etc. If only I had more time to play!
