I thought hardware could only be patented. They don’t know the difference between software and hardware.
That the old farts running and deciding these laws. Also sometimes hardware needs to be modified. If its somthing you bought, imho as long as you are not using specifically to steal IP then you should be able to dork with something you bought all you want. Otherwise company’s should lease electronics or something… lol
In the US, thanks to Sony, you don’t pay for the device. You pay for the PRIVILEGE of using it. While we had the right to do so before, that right has been revoked by a precedent. Sorry, all.
