Nice! I still have the “The TTL Data Book” from TI dated 1976 and others dated 1984 and 1985. The 1976 volume is even semi-hard-bound. It’s cool to see that some of these are still floating around in TI’s warehouse.

Hi Ben, that’s certainly the right color scheme for that vintage. The blue stripe appears above the center on Texas Instruments data books around 1986 to 1990. Older data books have a blue or red stripe below the center with a white outline around 1984 to 1985. My 1976 data book is solid orange with a semi-hard binding.
my second edition, printed in 1981… got some pages “unbounded” by all those years …
4 or 5 years ago the ttl data book was still available at Active and at other stores for fews bucks …
i might update mine too (really good deal at that price) my version doesnt include CMOS … LS was THE standard for everybody …

indeed – it’s a crazy deal, but TI has a habit of subsidizing stuff they want to promote (Launchpad) or just to get rid of stuff :D
I just put my copy, along with a bunch of other manuals from NS and Motorola in the recycle bin. I couldn’t find anyone at the local hackerspace that wanted them. (Los Angeles)
