TS-9001 analog comparator+reference evaluation boards give away

Touchstone semi sent us two TS-9001 analog comparator+reference evaluation boards to give away. Leave a comment on this post if you want one, and we’ll give them away on Thursday. Mention how you might use this part for bonus points.

The demo board contains two TS9001s – the push-pull TS9001-1 and the open-drain TS9001-2 – where each circuit is configured as a simple threshold detector with additional hysteresis.

If you are really interested in a demo board, they might send you a sample too.

  1. Chances are less, but if I win somehow, I’ll try to implement a Voltage monitor type system with this one.
    Plan simple: TS9001+ATtiny+Attiny+LCD

  2. I would very much like one of these. I am experimenting with voltage-mode feedback loops in switched-mode power supplies so having a board like this could be useful for generating a PWM switching signal.

    I’m going to unsolder the crap op-amps and use the board as a breakout for something else.

  4. I’ll use these to make a handheld version of a ‘Open Source Brain Computer Interface Device’ I’m working on.

    1. Dont think so. The GBW is 4KHz. The audio would be distorted by the time you sample the audio using the Arduino ADC.Will be better off with a Audio OpAmp. That is also why they dont want to publish their distortion specs as they are not cut out for Audio.

    That may be so. But I could still use them to tinker. I haven’t don’t anything with op-amps for a while. I can always de-solder those and replace them with a part more appropriate for my intended use.

  9. I would like one of those! This is exactly what I need to make my graphical On-screen-display. Right now I have to use a normal comparator and a resistor divide “reference”.
