14bit 125MSPS low-power ADC

MichaelZ tipped us to the ADS9412x a 14-/12-Bit, 65/125MSPS, ultralow-power analog to digital converter:

• Ultralow Power with 1.8V Single Supply:
– 103mW Total Power at 65MSPS
– 153mW Total Power at 125MSPS
• Programmable Gain up to 6dB for SNR/SFDR Trade-Off
• DC Offset Correction
• Differential input voltage range 2 VPP

Thanks McZ!

  1. How about an AFE thats a 7-channel 16-bit sigma delta ADC that allows individual channels to be adjusted for skew that sells for under $10.

Check out TI’s MSP430 for utility metering.

You can use the SPI to get the data to your main micro/fpga and program it to arrange/cook the analog samples in any fashion you need.

  2. What is the speed of that 7 channel 16bit adc? I don’t believe you can get 16bit 7ch adc that can do 160msps for 10$ …

    I’d prefer ADS4226 to some slow 16bit 7ch
