  1. I found using web2py (http://web2py.com/) very easy and powerful at the same time. It is also open source and licensed under LGPLv3. I tried Django too, but didn’t get that in love with it.

  2. Why the post on Django, as if it is something new? There are at least a dozen Python application frameworks out there, just Google or Wikipedia “WSGI”.
