Hee, I do use those same wires with my BP. I love those for testing. I wish they only were a bit longer (I got mine from seed).

What does it actually outputs? just a bunch of (ASCII)numbers or do you get the raw hex?

BTW I would suggest to first powerup the module before anything else. The modules could get powered through datalines or aux pin (you did select not to use Hiz mode) In this case you're safe, because AUX isn;t powered (standard HiZ when entering the mode) and you don't use the TX from the BP. You could also use the HiZ output and pullups instead.

BTW2: nice board (the paralax one)
