I Finally got around to putting together my QuarterK, that Mats sent me a while ago. I think Mats should change the name to "Mind Bender" for all(32) of the tiny resistors that you have to bend and solder. :-)
Oh, Mats you need to update the QuarterK.h and QuarterK.cpp. Change #include "WProgram.h" to #include "Arduino.h" so that the program will run with Arduino 1.0 and above. Cool little shield, I think I'll add a analog thumb joystick BB to it. 20130813_064218.jpg by systems tech, on Flickr
I personally think that our community should sponsor those that have the talent for designing PCB's. That way they don't have to come out of pocket for components, shipping and so on. So then let me be the first to sponsor a design, I have chosen the DigiPot by matseng from his PCBAWEEK challenge. I've PM'd matseng and paypal some funds $20 (Seeed's 5x5cm = $9.95 plus $5 for shipping and maybe some coffee) to help with the development of the first batch of the DigiPot. I have seen the list of great projects to come from matseng, looks like he is going to be busy for a while. Please don't ask what the projects are as I had to sign a NDA. :) Hopefully others will follow my lead.
It's Time to start a U.S. only box of Components. Same rules as before.
Rules: - Take the Components out you can really can use. - Replace them with Components you can't use (please add an equal amount of stuff) - Send the box to the next random* person within a week. - post a picture of what you got out of it and a small description what you are planning to do with - No address information in this topic Please use the PM system for this
*Random not the two individuals before you and not necessarily the one after you. Also try to send it to someone who hasn't had a turn yet. Well you know what I mean so just send it.

This will be a large flat rate priority mail box and will cost around $16 to ship. Here's a quick look into some of the highlights in the box:
Lcd displays 16x2, VFD displays 20x2, LED display(500+ leds), stepper motors, cpld, fpga, memory, switches, connectors, and alot more. A lot of the stuff is pulls from old boards, printers, signs, radios. Recycle and reuse is the motto.
The box will ship out on AUG the 27 Monday morning.
One more design added to the pool. This design needs more refinement before going to get fabbed. But here is a look.
I rescaled Filip's board and used it in the stack. The BPv3.6 sits under the board adapter screwed from the bottom up. All the layers are welded with solvent but for the last two the makeup the bottom lid and those two are welded to each other. Four 4-40 or 3mm screw fits nicely recessed in the bottom lid. The screw holes on one of the bottom spacers needs to be tapped, also the board adapter. The bottom spacer that gets the tapped threads gets welded to the case.
I made the BPv4 fit in a small case the found on ebay. I wasn't able to post the pictures the other day and today there on the blog. Life is good. thanks for posting the picture pls feel free to share all the photos.
