Sometimes we find an interesting chip that's hard to solder, or requires an extensive reference circuit. These breakout boards have the bare minimum circuit required for each chip, at the best price we could manage.

USB to serial converters
- FT2232 breakout board - A breakout board with the latest 5th generation FTDI FT2232H USB 2.0 IO chip. The FT2232 is a USB to serial converter like the FT232, but with a bunch more features. Available now for $27.
- MCP2200 breakout board - A breakout board for the new MCP2200 USB to serial converter from Microchip. The USB (CDC-ASM) and configuration interface (HID) are both based on open protocols. DISCONTINUED.
