Which firmware BP v3

Hello,

i did not use my BusPirate for a long time.
Which updates are recommended for this Version ?
I need to measure a 5V digital signal. Do i need a Voltage divider or can
i connect to a 5v source directly ?
Is the "sump.org LogicAnalyzer" still the GUI-Interface of choice ?

It is the same, the differences are mostly package size type stuff. The latest firmware is 6.3 beta somewhere on this forum. There is also an older stable release one which is 6.2, you can find it in the SVN: http://code.google.com/p/dangerous-prot ... loads/list

You can measure 5 V signal directly, there is a voltage divider, you should be fine for voltages up to ~6 V.

looked mostly nice, but on the end i got a long listing of verify errors:

yes, it works nice. Now i must clean up the mess i did yesterday on my PC.
Then looking for a suitable client to analyze my signals.
