This board was really fun to build, I wanted to get a PIC18F2550 breakout board, but now I made it on this nice pcb.
really like this prototyping posibility.

It seems it would have been nice to have a kind of icsp header connection on it. I like the way you solved it ;)

These boards look really nice...

But are they practical? There aren't that many pads and holes for other parts except for the microcontroller and the vreg + its caps. I think I have to try a few for myself and see.

Between the xtal and uC is some unused (in the pictures) prototype-space. BTW 60x37 is not an awfull lot of space :D

Are the pads ind the protospace interconnected as the L-shapes indicate?

I must admit that I've never used a board with this pattern. Long veroboard stripes, single pads, and pads in three-holes-high groups.

And the three-holes are really hard to work with. I'd imagine that the four-hole L's are even more confusing. At least with thru hole parts. With smd they might be excellent....

I did not understand how the zig zag area should be used, It could definetly use an icsp header
maybe somme ground and supply rail.

overall this worked.
I would like to try the xQFP80 +65 Protoboard but still one coupon code short.
