Hi Tayken;
Thanks! - you fixed it.
Erase the PIC:
[mick@localhost pk2cmdv1-20Linux2-6]$ ./pk2cmd /PPIC24FJ256GB106 -E
Program the Bootloader:
[mick@localhost pk2cmdv1-20Linux2-6]$ ./pk2cmd /PPIC24FJ256GB106 -MP -FBPv4-bootloader-v1.hex
Program the PIC:
[root@localhost BPv4-firmware]# ./pirate-loader_lnx --dev=/dev/ttyACM0 --hex=BPv4-firmware-v6.2-r1981.hex
Check it out:
[mick@localhost pk2cmdv1-20Linux2-6]$ su -
[mick@localhost pk2cmdv1-20Linux2-6]$ screen /dev/ttyACM0 115200

http://dangerousprototypes.comThe Mode LED never did come on at all.
There is no voltage on either side of R5.
My probe is too fat to try and probe the PIC
R3 has 3.3 and 1.78V for the Power LED.
I have tried the PGC-PGD jumper, and the $ command.
There is a strange phenomenon.
If I run as Mick Screen comes back instantly.
If I run sudo it works, but I get phantom keystrokes to the BP.
If I run as root with su - , then all is ok.
I have tried various USB cables, no change.
